Kazuki Yamada is Music Director of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra (CBSO) and Artistic & Music Director of the Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte-Carlo (OPMC). Starting in the 2026/27 season, he will also assume the role of Chief Conductor and Artistic Director of the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin (DSO). His formative work with Seiji Ozawa profoundly shaped what he calls his “Japanese feeling” for classical music.
