Prix Serdang

Schweizer Klavierpreis

"The Villa Serdang stands for cultural exchange, artistic dialogue, and the promotion of young talent – a special place where promising careers are given the chance to begin."

Initiator Adrian Flury

The Prix Serdang is an award of CHF 50,000. It is not a competition, but a form of recognition, encouragement, and support for a young artist's career: an investment in artistic creativity. The prize is intentionally not tied to any conditions.

The internationally renowned pianist Rudolf Buchbinder masterminds the selection process. His successful career and keen sensibility for young talent make him ideally suited to this task. In dialogue with international promoters, festival directors, and particularly conductor and soloist colleagues, he is able to identify promising candidates.

The final choice is made jointly by Rudolf Buchbinder, Adrian Flury (founder), and Thomas Pfiffner (project developer).

The Prix Serdang was established in 2022 and first awarded to Martin James Bartlett. In 2023, the prize went to Ariel Lanyi, followed by Alexandra Dovgan in 2024. In 2025, Colin Pütz received the Prix Serdang.
