We are pleased to announce that conductor Jonathan Stockhammer has joined MaestroArts roster for general management.

Based in Berlin, Stockhammer works across contemporary music, opera and symphonic repertoire. His career includes longstanding collaborations with Ensemble Modern, Stuttgart Radio Symphony Orchestra, WDR Symphony Orchestra, NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra and London Sinfonietta, as well as appearances with orchestras including the Orchestre National de France, Czech Philharmonic and Philharmonia Orchestra.

This season, Stockhammer returns to Komische Oper Berlin to conduct Philip Glass’s Akhnaten in Barrie Kosky’s production, and conducts Seattle Symphony in music by Szymanowski, Stravinsky and Unsuk Chin. He also continues his work with orchestras and ensembles across Germany and internationally.

Stockhammer's operatic work has taken him to venues including Vienna State Opera, Opernhaus Zürich, Staatsoper Berlin and Bayreuth Festival. His projects extend beyond the traditional concert repertoire, including work with the Pet Shop Boys, Frank Zappa, Chick Corea and spoken-word artist Saul Williams.
